Sgwarnog: In the Field

Comfortable Silence

companion crows
sharing the view
a comfortable silence

We traveled to Lancashire and back for this Christmas' big Hughes family gathering. Not quite the full set this year, but my Mum, three quarters of siblings and all nephews and nieces were present and correct. Quite a crowd.

This image is from close to home before we set off. As you will have spotted, the silhouettes of birds in winter trees is one of my blip stand-bys. If I could think of a generic name for them perhaps I could elevate them to the status of a series?

With the poem, I've tried to flip the immediate reading of the image, instead invoking the power of the Quiet.
