Clouds

I don't think that Constable ever visited the Hebrides, but he would have loved the clouds. On these trips, we spend a lot of time walking for miles along empty beaches, watching the changing light on the sea. Clouds roll in, sometimes they bring squalls, sometimes the rain falls somewhere else but you can see all this weather happening right in front of your eyes. Adding to the magic of this afternoon's beach were the 15-20 seals who followed our progress, popping their heads out of the water to look at us.
We spent last night near the ferry terminal at Ardmhor (watched an otter while we ate our tea in the van). By morning the gales had stopped and by the time we reached Eriskay, the sun was making an appearance. The wind is still blowing from the north, so it's not exactly summery, but we have been mostly dry all day.
Now on South Uist, where we stocked up at the Coop and then visited the prehistoric roundhouses at Cladallan.
I'm taking all my Blip photos on my phone for ease of upload, and it's very quick tonight as we are parked right by a phone mast!
Time for tea now. All this fresh air is making me hungry.
