Birdies!

Usually when you’re playing golf having a “Birdie” is a good thing. It means you’ve played the hole one better than par. As we came over the hill at the 18th hole today we were confronted with dozens of birdies of the feathered variety. The White Cockatoos were having an absolute feast on some mysterious delicious morsel and weren’t going to move for anybody. It made for a fairly treacherous shot onto the green. Happily we were able to navigate our way through the throng without doing any harm :)

It was a brutal day on the course yesterday with a cold wind blowing for most of the round. Our other hazard were the big black Crows who just love to swoop down and pick up the balls as you hit them down the fairway. Despite this it was a really enjoyable round and we had a lot of fun out there.

I love my golf and being able to play on a regular basis each Thursday is a great way to recharge the batteries. CCN has a lovely Carer spend time with her so I can play my game knowing that all is well on the home front. Debbie kindly drops CCN into the golf club in time to spend some time socialising with our golf buddies. It’s working well!! Oh and for Doyley22 and Ninniex’s information, you’ll be pleased to know I had the best scratch score!!
