Family Life.

Our landlady had suggested that the Loch Spynie nature reserve would be an interesting visit for us. Maybe we need to explore a bit, but it seemed as though the only visitor access was to the hide which suffered from too many noisy visitors. Throughout our stay of a couple of hours, one avid birder was patiently (and politely) waiting for the hubbub to die down. Maybe a dawn visit is in order.
 
Amongst the delights on view, just out of camera range were red squirrels inside bird feeders, several pairs of little grebes (apparently defending nests in the reeds from Canada geese and swans) and a pair of ospreys (identified by the birder) soaring high above us. We may be back in November for that dawn visit.
