evening snack

When I got home there were 2 waxwings in the service tree. I have seen up to 10 at a time in it when the fruit is ripe. Lat year they had the tree stripped before it was ripe. I grabbed the camera hoping to get a photo of one , but they were gone. A few minutes later 2 smaller birds were flitting around the branches. Way less wary than the waxwings . I was surprised to find 2 female purple finches as we only  had a pair (M/F) over the winter. But fun to find any amongst all of our house finches.
