Hill holder

It’s raining. Encaped in my red cycling poncho, I stride unsteadily up Dundas Street. The bus whisks me to Dolphinton where Nick meets me.

Bill is deep in home improvements, so is delighted to be interrupted. He makes coffee. A “traction avant” renovation project is hatched.

My Subaru is still on the ramp at the garage. The calliper has been fixed and the the hose pipe has been replaced, but the brake is still seizing. It might be a sticky valve in the ABS pump or a mechanical feature that I knew nothing about - the “hill holder”.
