Memorial Service for Bob Hawke

I'm glad I made the effort to go to this.
It was a great service, with many laughs and a few tears.
I found it sad, too, to be reminded of a time  when I took good governance for granted.
Most sat on the steps of the opera house

The last time I did that was to listen to Music for Dogs, with Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson.
Everybody there, of course had their dogs with them. It was quite a spectacle.
When they played the dog music they all shut up.
I had an album on flickr, but it seems to have disappeared.

It's my birthday today..
72, for Pete's sake!
Getting down to the pointy end now:)

Off to a birthday dinner now.
