Beautiful old hulks

We are in Suffolk on holiday and were pleasantly surprised when the grey sky changed to blue after all the rain. It got quite warm despite a strong breeze, a real bonus.

We went to Pin Mill near Ipswich which is a very picturesque little harbour. There are lots of derelict boats, many being converted into houseboats. We went for a walk along the estuary where we saw these beautiful old hulks of old boats which had been left to rot on the sand. There’s another shot in the extras.

Afterwards we went for a drive around the peninsula. There were lots of poppies growing in the roadside verges which I was delighted to see as I love them. There’s a photo in the extras.

On the way back we stopped at a pub and had a delicious meal which was a great end to a lovely day.
