Headless

Seems as though one of these palm trees was beheaded. They marked the beginning and ending (on the way home) to a beautiful hike up a lonely desert canyon. The hike was supposed to dead end at a palm oasis, but we must have made a wrong turn somewhere because there was no oasis to be found. Either way, it was wonderful to be out and scampering up rocks with the family until the sun went down.
