I walked across to the other side of the moor. It was too dull, cool and breezy for butterflies but it was good being among the curlews, lapwings, reed buntings, red kites, kestrels and so on. And a snipe alighted a little further down my path, where the recent rain had brought a bogginess back to the ground (grainy record shot in extras).
But I can never resist a sight gag, so this scene below Weecher reservoir is my photo of the day. Sold down the river indeed.
