Carol's ramblings

By Lucari

Warwick - day 2

Today we visited Baddesley Clinton, interesting house steeped in history with 2 priest holes.

Then on to Packwood House, another interesting house, extended over the years with fabulous gardens (particularly the yew trees.

Then a trip to Leamngton Spa, but in the way stopped off at Hatton locks for an ice cream. This interesting sculpture was next to the path. We have always considered canal holidays, if we did we would not choose here - it is where the grand union canal drops 144 feet over 2.5 miles, 21 locks!
