The closest cinema showing The Hobbit is in Caloundra, a holiday resort on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, half an hour away. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and was surprised how quickly the three hours passed.

Arriving early meant there was a bit of time to go down to the beach. Even a short visit is so invigorating, and there are almost always amazing cloud formations here - today was no exception.
