End of the evening

We visited our neighbours Georges and Joelle for a dinner of Raclette.
For those of you not familiar with the process, this involves eating from an enormous wheel shaped cheese, which has been cut in half, then the open side melted on a special machine and the moulton cheese scraped off onto your plate to be consumed with potatoes.
The evening ends with a shot or two of clear, strong distilled fruit liquor, in this case made from pears.
How do they get the pear into the bottle, you may ask?
Actually they place the bottle over the baby pear whilst it is still on the tree and it grows in the bottle before being 'picked', not to say 'pickled'!
