Bumble Queen?

We drove through to Glasgow to stay with my brother in law and his family for the night so we can catch our flight to Italy early next morning! The girls came in talking about a huge bee which I blew off. However, this is by far the largest Bumblebee I’ve ever seen. Some cursory interneting leads me to believe this could bee a buff tailed bumblebee queen that has recently emerged from hibernation and is gorging before attempting to start her own colony. I also found out that it is very difficult to identify bees and take some considerable practice.
