Almost Heaven...West Virginia

We had a nice (but a long) day...from sunup until sundown.

Clockwise, from the left top corner.

1. Dad posing in the Greenbrier, an old resort hotel in White Sulphur Springs.
2. Sister Lisa at tiny Mill Run Falls.
3. Dad looking for climbers on Seneca Rocks. (There were three.)
4. Dad at Valley Falls State Park.
5. and 6. Lisa and Dad at Beartown State Park.

Why was it a l-o-n-g day? The back-roads of West Virginia are full of twists and turns, and it was a real challenge to go from the bottom of the state to the top. You can't go anywhere fast, plus...in the last hour of daylight...deer were everywhere alongside the road.

With sketchy cell phone service, our travel agent back home (wife Lisa) had to bail us out and book us a room in Morgantown, West Virginia. Tomorrow, we head for home.

The biggest falls of the day is in the extras. Blackwater Falls. Very purty...but about 175 steps to the vantage point.
