Vesuvius

Had a fabulous tour in Naples today, which included looking at some of the cities grandiose buildings before heading into the subterranean city which was fascinating. There are over 200 kilometres of tunnels underneath the city and have had various uses over the centuries, most recently as shelters during world war two, as well as storage units for old cars, many of which are still there from 1930s onwards ... rusting away.

Definitely worth a trip, and you just have to have a margarita pizza, when in Naples.

Anyway, here’s a blip of the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius in the background.
