Somewhere on Harris

I stopped to take a photo of this information booth/bus stop in the middle of nowhere and D busied himself by picking up a whole carrier bag full of litter - mostly cans and  bottles which we recycled at the Stornoway Coop. The nice black rubber mat in his right hand is destined to be a pair of huaraches (see my blip from a few days back).

We are now at Tiumpan Head, at over 58°N and the OS Landranger map has been made a little wider to accommodate it (1st extra). The lighthouse (2nd extra) was designed by David Stevenson and opened in 1900.
