The Meeting Place

St Pancras Station, London

“A 9m tall bronze statue of an intimate pose by the world renowned sculptor Paul Day. Known commonly as 'The Lovers' statue, it takes pride of place on our Grand Terrace, and is often the first thing you see when you step off the Eurostar!” stpancras.com

With time to spare before I took my fourth and final train of the day, from Kings Cross to Ely, I popped into St Pancras Station for a quick look around. I’ve seen photographs of this moving statue before, but never realised quite how tall it was.

Left home in the rain, and five minutes after arriving in Ely it started to rain! But at least it’s warmer in the far east, 21 degrees. Zonked after a long day, will catch up with you all tomorrow...
