Stormy weather

A rather windy day today, the papers were late as the boat spent the night in Brodick, rather than Ardrossan. There are two reasons why it does this - the first is simply the fact that Ardrossan is a terrible harbour and CalMac will be scared they won't get out in the morning if the wind is strong, and the second is financial - CalMac own the pier in Brodick but not the one in Ardrossan, so if they get stuck in Ardrossan, they have to pay for using it above contracted hours. The dog and I walked along the shore, she stayed well away from the wild water! Mum and I are heading out to the quiz at Catacol Bay later, which should be a laugh. The two of us and my brother in law make up a pretty good team, though there are quite a few other good teams around - we're hoping they are all away on holiday! :)
