Owain Glyndwr

Had a girls day out with my best friend Jackie today, but didn't stray too far - just an expedition to Machynlleth.

Stopped in Tywyn on the way and bought some half price Christmas decorations. I will need a bigger house next year to fit them all in!

Stopped in Pennal on the way back and had a look round the church there, and this statue of Owain Glyndwr was in the graveyard, although I had no idea it was there! He's THE Welsh hero and has a special place in Welsh history, as does that church.

We then went over to the Riverside and had hot chocolate and a cake before coming home!
