Wednesday: Hotel Vancouver

I have decided that breakfast meetings are my new favourite thing. I can be at my desk, have a quick email catch up, pop out for breakfast (where service is always faster than at lunch) and still be back at my desk, ready to embrace the day, by 0930. Lunch, by comparison, tends to take too long out of the day. So, I have decided - breakfast is the new lunch.

A couple of external meetings and then a farewell reception for the President of the Board of Trade, who is stepping down. Not at this hotel, but just round the corner at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The Hotel Vancouver is one of the older hotels in town - it's one of the Canadian Pacific Railway hotels and King George VI stayed here in 1939.
