Organ screen with rood screen fragments

The mediaeval rood screen in Sampford Courtenay church was torn out and apparently mostly burnt in 1820. Around 1900 fragments of it were found supporting the pulpit, and in about 1925 they were incorporated into a screen for the new organ. The mediaeval fragments are the painted parts.
