Back home after a long day travelling back from Rome to Edinburgh via. Amsterdam, courtesy of KLM: Royal Dutch Airlines. Highlights of the day involved a mega sprint across Schiphol Airport, as our first flight was half an hour late, which only gave us 20 minutes ... we all made it but only with a few minutes to spare! While we got our suitcases, turns out that Carole from Fife’s suitcase got left in Amsterdam. Another highlight was someone’s water bottle leaking in the overhead lockers onto a ladies head!

Now it turns out that KLM, founded in 1919, is the oldest airline in the world still operating under its original name and had 35,488 employees and a fleet of 119 as of 2015. KLM operates scheduled passenger and cargo services to 145 destinations.

In the old days, you would get a delft porcelain Bols Gin (of which I have collected a few ... one blipped here), however, these days are gone, but at least you still get some free food and drinks on the flight!

Anyway, back home, and knackered ... I need another holiday.
