I seemed to have spent the entire day trotting in and out of the kitchen.
First I made a batch of savoury muffins, dividing the mix between the basic recipe and a vegetarian alternative (sun-dried tomato instead of bacon) for a choir end-of-term gathering, then a batch of granola to take on holiday next month.
This last would have been so much quicker had I a) found the recipe from last time and not had to look again through various options on the internet, and
b) found the new bottle of maple syrup, bought for the purpose, on the pantry shelf, where Mr Flum immediately found it.
But all turned out well and we had a very good supper at the home of one of our choir members.
