Early morning Rose

A lovely, sunny day

A lovely morning heralded the Summer Solstice. This is one of our early roses, no doubt we will soon have many more in bloom in the weeks ahead.

My son and one his daughters were en route to Rwanda this morning. They are taking part in fund raising for Compassion. Org. My son is running an ultra marathon, 36 miles, while my granddaughter will be attempting a 5K Run.

They will also be visiting some of the children in Compassion projects. My son did this in Kenya last year. It should be a life changing experience for my 16 year old granddaughter.
