After yesterday's momochrome here's something bright.
This is the detail from the centre of a tree decoration done with Hardanger embroidery - gold & red threads on red material.
Came back from Keswick this morning in pretty foul weather and then went to a funeral/thanksgiving service this afternoon.
On Christmas Eve at about 10.30pm the hot tap in the bathroom wouldn't turn off - and we couldn't find out where to turn off the hot water. Fortunately we did finally manage to stop the tap and taped it up to prevent a recurrence. This evening a plumber friend came round to look at it - and he couldn't work out how to turn off the water, either! So we're no further forward but at least no longer have guests
