Return to Nature

A train strike put paid to my plans to visit Kew Gardens this week, so instead I booked myself into a hotel near Weymouth and plan to enjoy a couple of days on the Jurassic Coast.

First stop was Corfe Castle, with its amazing history. The walls have become a wonderful habitat for wild flowers, which are ideal for Flower Friday. I was also pleased to catch the Swanage steam train as it entered Corfe Castle station (extra).

Next stop was Kimmeridge Bay, where I found some fossils embedded in the rock, before heading to my hotel. I am now replete after fish and chips and a large glass of wine!
