Last Saturday the high tide was lapping the foot of Hanging Rocks between Gullane and Yellowcraigs (near the Observation post) but today as the tide was low we decided to scramble up the cliff to see The Fortress of Solitude.    It is no longer kitted out as it was in the newspaper article and I think is different from the time when Flumgummery blipped it some time ago. (I could not remember when she visited)   However it was still worth seeing with a nearby smaller cave and I can imagine it would have been a suitable place for early man to live with sufficient plant and sea food available close by.

After Flumgummery identified yesterday’s growth on the stinging nettle as Nettle Clustercup Rust I saw another one today.
