Little Barrier Island

Visited friends who live near Omaha which is a little settlement a bit further up the coast. Managed to take their dog for a walk on the beach after the rain had stopped. Little Barrier has been a limited access nature reserve since 1897. It is the remnants of an extinct andesitic volcano which last erupted over a million years ago.
