Plume Thistle

A warm but rather dull day .... my BBC weather app forecast sunshine for today .... somebody got it wrong!

Plenty of bees around and they were certainly attracted to these red thistle-like flowers.

This morning I spoke to one of the guys at the Heritage Park water sports centre about the swans. The female has left the nest and there are no cygnets this year :-((  At least I now know not to keep hoping.
