The Lozarithm Lens

Melksham (Friday 21st June 2019)

I found these brambles growing beside the Avon on a short walk that began in the Waitrose car park. I was composing my shot when the bee flew in and photobombed it.
Thanks to Bikerbear for Flower Friday and to Miranda1008 for Wild Flower Week hosting.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Raconteurs - Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness) (2019)
The new Mojo (August 2019) arrived at The Old Forge on Friday with a CD celebrating Third Man Records, Jack White's record label, and including this forthcoming release by the Raconteurs, one of his many bands. Hey Gyp (Dig The Slowness) was written and recorded by Donovan in October 1965 and was addressed to his travelling companion Gypsy Dave, a sculptor and songwriter. It was on the flipside of Turquoise. The tune was adapted from Memphis Minnie's Can I Do It For You? and was soon in the sets of bands like the Belfast Gypsies and the Animals. The song has remained popular, as evidenced by this new rendition.
PS I just discovered that coincidentally Gypsy Dave (Wikipedia page) died a few days ago on 18 June in Thailand.
