Dudley Fletcher Goodwin.16.06.1892 - 07.03.1917

My Great Uncle. Killed in action on the Somme. He is buried at Cerisy-Gailly Military Cemetery. I was having another clear out at Grans and found this - his original gravestone, before the neat white ones were installed. This was sent to his mother Frances (my great grandmother). I am still hoping to visit his grave this summer. Rather depends on when my father in law's funeral takes place.  

It says that the nearest railway station is Corbie Sur Somme. There is still a station there - 16 minutes drive from  the Cerisy-Gailly Military Cemetery
