A strange calm.

Thunder and lightening was threatened. But as is almost always the case in Arnside it never actually arrives. Once or twice a year we may hear a distant rumble. But then thats it. Its almost disappointing.

But it keeps looking threatening, as though it is about to rain. And the humidity is building. Later in the week we are told it will reach 26C. Which is hot for us. But our friends who are going to France are told they may get over 40C.

I am content here. Just a walk round the village to take this blip and then home to select some music to play for friends who are coming tomorrow. And a little progress on the model railway perhaps.
