Sildebordet

Florø has the world's longest sildeborde (Herring table). In days gone by, Herring was the main source of income and nutrition in Florø and the nearby islands. The celebration is a fun tradition left over from  those days.
I thought that it was 6:30 -9:30, unfortunately it was more like 6:30 - when all the herring is eaten... which was quickly! When I arrived at 8:30 they were busy packing up as you can see here. Oh well, there's always another time!
