Living dangerously!

The visitor from afar arrived safe and sound and Veronica found her way down to West Cork all the way from the South of France. Much hilarity to discover over supper that the husbands had both worked together in Warwickshire Museum in a different lifetime!

Today we have been exploring the Sheep's Head in a leisurely fashion, the weather murky but warm and humid. We did a stroll around the circuit, pondered at the Air India disaster memorial which had just had its anniversary, drank coffee in the Heron Gallery then set off west. We did the full tour of the peninsula, stopping off here and there to admire cliffs, stroke brindled cats, visit ruined cabins and say hello to jensphoto's Oz BVM  at the holy well (looking very happy Jenny). All good except..... Veronica slipped in a bit of bog and has injured her ankle. Here she is bravely hobbling homewards having explored the old settlement in the background.

A cold compress, some ibuprofen and a glass of red wine and things are looking a little more hopeful.
