Lobster Kitsch

A very interesting visit to the Bath Maritime Museum today, where we learned a whole lot about wooden ship building, blacksmithing, and lobstering.  The picture of Jackson standing in front of the "lobstermobile" was taken there.  The other shots were in other places we passed throughout the day.  It finally occurred to me that there was definitely a crustacean theme to my photographs! That enormous lobster on the roof of a roadside restaurant is the epitome of kitsch!

Extra:  It seemed especially serendipitous that, shortly after we had learned about how wooden schooners had been proudly built in Bath "back in the day", we spied the beautiful Heritage under sail off Ocean Point near East Boothbay.
