Nos. 33, 34 & 35 Wood Street

The building pictured is the next in my onestreet project of Wood Street, Stratford upon Avon.  The two businesses shown are numbers 34 and 35 Wood Street, but according to current records there doesn't appear to be a number 33. The 1891 census has all three addresses listed.  Number 33 was occupied at the time by Mr & Mrs Allies who ran a Grocer & Baker shop along with a visitor, Emma Grocock, who was a Salvation Army Captain.

Mr Reece, his wife, daughter and sister-in-law lived in number 34. He was a Domestic Butler, whilst his wife, Elizabeth and her sister were dealers in Fancy Goods. The daughter Ethel was at school.

Miss Fannie Mills, a lady of independent means, lived in number 35.

In other news: we didn't get any rain today, though it has been mainly cloudy.  Roll on summer I say! (in moderation of course, none of this 45 degrees malarkey they're going to get in Europe, no wonder we want to leave the EU and have our own cold, damp miserable weather).
