Emerald Beauty

I'm a bit obsessed with my damselflies at the moment. I go and hunt for them when I'm walking around the lake at Trentham Gardens. This morning there were several pairs of banded demoiselles. The almost look like different species as the males and females are so different. The main shot is of the female, and I've added an image of a male in the extras.

I was doing a bit of gardening this afternoon and disturbed an enormous frog. I felt a bit guilty, as it was quite happy in one of my pots, until I decided I was going to dig up the plant! (see extra)
