High Times in the Garden

Our very shy and skittish girl has discovered the catmint on the patio. I don't know if you can see the ruin she's made of the little plants--they are chewed, torn, rolled in, and loved to within an inch of their little green lives. It's a big event for an animal who finds it very challenging just to sit on the threshold and peer outside. She's had to descend a half dozen porch steps and tiptoe over to the table, ready to bolt at the slightest sound. Her brother, the bold one, isn't particularly interested in the catmint. At one point he sauntered over, sniffed her, and smacked her in the head with one big paw. She just rolled around some more with her tongue hanging out, while he flexed his shoulders and continued on patrol.

And you know it's a slow day when this is what I have to report. Although I did work in the garden for three hours, go to a lecture on CBD for health, and have an acupuncture session, so I wasn't, god forbid, idle.
