Bridges Keep Swinging

So after a lengthy sleep of 10 hours... we arose at 8am... whit? Yes we were in bed by 10pm last night! Having shared bath/shower-rooms means we don't need to shower sequentially and hence we had an early start.

We were last in Boston 30 years ago, and I remember very little except throwing packages of tea over board on a sailboat and the terrible holiday attire I had back then! We headed down to the waterfront this morning and walked through the Greenway where a flyover highway used to run - it is now parks and walkways now. After a late afternoon snooze we headed up to Boston Common before dinner. A later night tonight.

The blip is the Northern Avenue Swing Bridge which looks like it is ready to be demolished however it only shut in 2014 to pedestrians and to traffic in 1999. There are even talks to restore it, despite a newer bridge running beside it. It has 2 single track roads and the centre was used for trains. It is currently swung open.

Ms H is almost fully recovered and had a steak for dinner tonight, the most she has eaten in 5 days!
