Acorn du Jour

Today we completed our return journey home safely and for that we are thankful.  One thousand five hundred and ninety miles to San Francisco and back to Portland.  After this trip, all I could muster is an acorn from the neighborhood.  I resisted flowers, but I am sure that sooner or later they will come in very handy.

Our route took us over mountain ranges, valleys planted in olive groves, rice fields, sunflowers, snow capped majestic mountains, rivers, cattle ranches, small little villages.  As I drove I could not help but bow in front of nature and the beauty that surrounds us.

This route in particular, is made up mostly of interstate U.S. 5  a  motorway  which is the main artery spanning three states (California, Oregon, Washington) from Mexico to Canada.  Taking any of the ramps off the motorway, one can explore and discover many interesting towns, people, and historic sites.

We are now back to enjoying the familiarity of our home.

Good night Blip community.
