NZ Iris

Libertia ixioides, native NZ iris. In spring it will produce small white flowers followed by months of bright orange seed heads.

I'm very happy to have the promise of bright orange in my garden.

Today I've managed a shower and to shuffle the rubbish bins to the kerb, ready for collection tomorrow. It was during the bin shuffling effort that I noticed the back lit libertia.

My head cold is firmly in charge and hpx is miserable.
