Life through the lens...

Needs a shave?

No. Just topping and tailing, which is a nice job for MrC!

We were pleased to receive an email from the fruit farm to say they would be open today.

The first job however, was making a cake for out granddaughter’s 20th Birthday.
A few weeks ago she requested an orange cake with white icing and glacé cherries on top. Like I used to make years ago.

Then we went to pick gooseberries and strawberries.
The gooseberries were excellent. A really good crop this year. However the strawberries weren’t very good. I think the plants needed replacing. We picked a couple of pounds, but won’t bother picking any more.
May pick more gooseberries, and also black currants and raspberries when they are ready.

After lunch called round to give our granddaughter her present and cake, which was just what she wanted. A very happy bunny.
Hard to believe she is now 20. How the years seem to fly by.

After a dull morning the afternoon has been hot and sunny. Now a lovely evening.
Quite thankful we are not in France, as we usually are at this time of year. 40C is just far too hot for me.
