The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Wednesday 26th June 2019)

This isn't a very good photo as it was taken from the conservatory through a double-glazed window at a small bird some distance away in a shady corner, with a bridge camera, but it is the only shot taken on Gardening Wednesday. I took it primarily to find out what kind of bird it was as I couldn't see it very clearly. From the computer screen after some tweaking I think I can safely say that it is a juvenile robin. It is great to know that the resident pair have a new addition.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Kate Bush with Trio Bulgarka - Deeper Understanding (2018 Remaster) (1989)
This follows on quite sensibly from the previous LOTD, Telephone Line, with Kate's benign computer helping a lonely person: "This is about people... well, about the modern situation, where more and more people are having less contact with human beings. We spend all day with machines; all night with machines. You know, all day, you're on the phone, all night you're watching telly. Press a button, this happens.
...And this is the idea of someone who spends all their time with their computer and, like a lot of people, they spend an obsessive amount of time with their computer. People really build up heavy relationships with their computers!"
This is the original version, as played on this day, on The Sensual World (not the Director's Cut), but from the remastered 2018 re-issue as included in the Remastered 1 box.
