Samlesbury Hall

A day out in the fresh air, in beautiful sunshine and with good company. It certainly did me the world of good. SueT123 came to me and then we went together to meet CarrieD at Samlesbury Hall. None of us had been there before. 

We had a cuppa in the cafe and then a wander round the grounds, mainly taking photos of the lovely flowers - see extra. No picnics are allowed as the hall and parking are free, so we went into the restaurant for lunch. After another short wander round the rest of the grounds we returned to the cafe for a most wonderful ice cream and sat a long time in the shade simply catching up with each other. A perfect day!
