A walk in the shade

I was working at Borders College this morning and had intended to stay there all day but at around midday it became evident that the place was gradually closing down around me. It turns out that one of the events in the Braw Lads Gathering (common riding) in Galashiels was about to take place so I decided to make myself scarce and went home to finish my work there.
