Not A Fig

Much to our surprise a fox cub came visiting this evening, all on its own. We managed to fire off a few shots through the glass then sat and watched as it settled on a slab. In the extra can be seen at its feet a small stone, which it picked up and carried to the hedge - perhaps as a toy, as I am aware they do enjoy playing.
What slightly worries me is the white blob in the corner of its right eye, which looks like pus. Bearing in mind  that it has siblings and that I am unsure where is the den it would be a difficult task to isolate this one for treatment, so I shall maintain a watching brief and hope that any infection heals without intervention.
Just another dilemma that Mother Nature throws us humans.
