Drum Brae (364/366)

Drum Brae is one of Edinburgh's arterial routes. Running north-south between Corstorphine and Barnton, it should have been superceded by the Maybury Road that is all-but parallel. But with City of Edinburgh Council making a total pig's ear of the whole Gogar/Maybury/Barnton junctions, plus a new 40mph limit, Drum Brae is actually considerably faster and more economical to drive. There's a "green agenda" for you.

It's an 11% gradient, and coming down the hill, the children pretend it's a rollercoaster.
