Capturing my Journey

Filling potholes

Neighbour arranged to work together to fill potholes this morning on the driveway. I awoke early as seems the normal atm. I pottered around with cup of tea for a bit then decided to go for a run before it got too hot. Meant the dog walk after was also avoiding the heat. Found the dogs paddling pool and brought it out with a pack of tennis balls and put them in it. Pip systematically took them out one at a time which was funny!!

Headed inside it was 24c and just too hot for the dogs so movies and book reading. In the afternoon we got a yellow lightening warning. At 4.30 i looked at the lightening map and could see the storms getting closer so took dogs for quick toilet walk. Then gave them dinner. As i let Dris out i could hear quite a ruckus at our cattle so sent husband to check. By this point thunder and lightening was on us. He called me we needed to move the cattle as our bull was eyeing the neighbours cattle and bull. Its double fenced but not worth risking him trashing the brand new fence and learning bad habits. So with thunder and lightening all around we moved the cattle to the field with the shed in it. Once the gate was shut i was racing the cattle to the shed as the storm hit overhead with monsoon rain. Cows were so good thankfully. Got home and id left the bedroom windows wide open so it was flooded in there. Thankfully one of the dog beds soaked most of it up. Now we just Pip and Rusty stressing about the thunder and lightening.

Extra is screenshot from video of lightening striking as we moved the cows.
