Slimbridge

Had a nice day out with a couple of the AYWMC people. Mrsfb came too as we had never been before.

We saw lots of ducks, geese, loads of flamingos and a few otters. We didn't see any kingfishers and had just missed the mega rare Little Bustard, which was spotted in Slimbridge on 23-26 June. Apparently the last time one was seen in Gloucestershire before that was in 1946, in Northleach of all places. I will have to keep a look out on my way to the shops in future. Apparently it is chicken sized, so not so little.
